Dr. Louis Brown Ogbeifun
CEO/Lead Consultant

Louis retired from the services of the NNPC as Manager, Employee Relations (ER) in 2015. He is a self-motivated Industrial Relations professional and a conflict resolver that is committed to sustenance of industrial peace, and harmony as a platform for the achievement of Corporate Vision and Mission.

As Manager ER, he was charged with the responsibilities of managing union-management relations and resolving disputes that might have arisen thereof. He was also charged with the responsibilities of monitoring union-management engagements in the oil and gas in generat. To that end, he successfully mediated and resolved several industrial relations disputes in Addax, Shell Petroleum Development, Mobil Producing Unlimited, Mobil Downstream, etc., thereby saving the country huge costs, which would have been lost to industrial actions. He also sat in for the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, on the 13-man ministerial committee, on the resolution of conflicts in the oil and gas sector.

He is a versatile multifunctional professional with cognate experiences in the medical field and conflict resolution in the workplace. He holds an RN Certificate, Diploma in Anesthesia of the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Master’s degree in Planning and Health Management of the University of Benin; Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership, Social and Community Development (HONORIS CAUSA), Evangel Christian University.

He is an Accredited Mediator of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution-UK; MTI Certified Professional Manager and Trainer in Workplace Conflicts: U.S.A; Fellow, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators; Nigeria, Member, Panel of Neutrals with the Abuja Multi-Door Courthouse (AMDC), Member, Conflict Management and Leadership Training Institute, Canada, Member, Governing Council, Institute of Mediation and Conciliation (Nigeria), Member, the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK/Nigeria, Member, Society for Human Resources Management, USA; Associate member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria.

He is on the faculty and the governing council of the Institute Of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria (ICMC) and has presented papers to  several conferences locally and internationally. He has been a volunteer of the   Special Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) since 1997. He is married with children.

Segun Ogunyannwo

Segun is an acclaimed mediator and trainer of mediators. He holds a first degree in Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience in Training and Human Capital Development. He brings to the mediation process, the creativity and ingenuity of an Engineer – calling the process, “Human Engineering”. He also holds a Masters’ degree in “Peace and Conflict Studies”.

 

’Segun consults for and trains mediators for the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Midwestern Oil and Gas Company, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), German Agency for International Development (GIZ), DFID – Justice for All (J4A), Kofi Annan International Peace-making Training Centre (KAIPTC), Mercy Corps (MC), International Republican Institute (IRI), Heartland Alliance International (HAI), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Partnership Initiatives In the Niger Delta (PIND), etc.

 

He won the international ‘Call for Consultants’ and was engaged to conduct the Neutral Mediation, Dialogue Facilitation and Training of Trainers (TOT) certification courses for staff of the Danish Demining Group (DDG), an arm of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). He is one of the consultants and facilitators for the UNDP sponsored project for Civilian Joint Task Force and Vigilante Groups from the North East. He is presently consulting for UNDP on the Integrated Approach to Nigeria’s Farmers/Herders Crisis. ’Segun was a consultant (classification unit) on the Presidential Amnesty Program for ex-militants of the Niger Delta. He has done extensive research on the Effects of Personality Types on Team-building and Organizational Performance, the Financial Cost of Un-resolved Workplace Conflicts, the Role of Women in Peace-building, Family Mediation and Application of ADR in the Criminal Justice System.

 

’Segun was ‘Judge’ for the National Client Interviewing and Counseling Skills Competition for University Law Students. He is presently conducting the ICMC Professional ADR Accreditation and Certification course for Nigerian Law-School Students in the six (6) campuses. He is the first Nigerian to receive the prestigious International Mediation Accreditation from the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), London. He is also an MTII (Mediation Training Institute International, USA) Certified Professional in Managing Workplace Conflicts. He equally has certification in Preventive Peace-building from the West Africa Network for Peace-building (WANEP), a renowned regional Peace-building Organization. He served as a volunteer mediator at the Citizen’s Rights’ Commission, Lagos State Ministry of Justice.

 

‘Segun wrote the proposal for the establishment of the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) and served as the first in-house mediator. He also wrote the proposals for the establishment of the Kano, Uyo and Ogun Multi-Door Courthouses and served as Consultant on the projects. He is presently the GIZ Consultant for the establishment of the Plateau and Niger State Multi-Door Courthouses.

 

He is the Founder and President of Mediation Training Institute (MTI-Nigeria). He is the current Registrar and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Fellow and Member, Governing Council of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). He is also a Fellow of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice, (SPSP). He is a member of the ADR Committee, of the FCT, Abuja Judiciary.

 

He is on the Panels of Neutrals of the Abuja, Kano and Ogun Multi-Door Courthouses, Abuja Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI), Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC); Member, Boards of Trustees of International Institute for Leadership and Governance (INILAG), Initiative for African Peace (Afri-Peace), Just One Foundation and Network of African Peace-builders (NAPS).

 

’Segun is the author of The Effective Mediator, a resource material for practicing and aspiring mediators. He loves peace and people, demonstrating deep knowledge and understanding of human nature. He is adjudged one of the best mediators and trainers of mediators in Africa and has been appointed as an Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation.

Agada Elachi, PhD

Agada Elachi is the President at ICMC – Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators Nigeria. He is engaged in active Legal Practice, with a bias for resolution of conflicts outside the traditional litigation system. He is listed as a neutral at the Abuja Multi-Door Court House, Kano Multi-Door Court House, Nigerian Telecommunications Commission Panel of Neutrals, and the Kigali International Arbitration Centre, Kigali, Rwanda.

 

He is a SEC certified capital market operator and, is actively engaged in investment advising and commercial law practice. He also has vast experience in litigating cases before all levels of court in Nigeria. Agada is an ADR expert with a bias for mediation and arbitration. He holds a doctorate degree in Public Policy and Administration specializing in Terrorism, Mediation and Peace (Walden, U.S.A), a master’s degree in Law, a diploma in international commercial arbitration, and fellowship of several professional bodies including the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC, Nigeria) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).

 

He is a certified trainer in Mediation, Arbitration, and conflict resolution processes. As mediator, he has been engaged in the resolution of a broad range of disputes such as banking and financial matters, inheritance and testamentary issues, and family mediation, etc. He is also a certified professional in managing workplace conflict. As an arbitrator, he is experienced in handling a wide range of issues including but not limited to defense contracts, power/energy contracts, construction contracts, oil and gas, environment preservation and management contracts, financial matters, and real estate development matters.

 

He is on the panel of Panel of Neutrals of several organizations. Some of these are: Global Mediation (UK), Kigali International Arbitration Centre, Abuja Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre, Nigerian Communications Commission, Federal High Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre, and several multi-door courthouses. He has also consulted for and participated in the setting up of Multi-door courthouses and ADR centers.

 

He acts as a resource person and consults from time to time for several organizations on Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice. Some of these organizations are the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), the Justice for All Programme (J4A) of the DFID, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), Settlement House, the International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation Abuja, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), and Legal Defense Assistance Programme (LEDAP). He also consults for GIZ Nigeria. He has also facilitated trainings for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). He is an Ecowas and Clingendael certified trainer in Mediation and Dialogue processes. He is also an adjunct lecturer with the Nasarawa State University, Law Faculty teaching introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Negotiation, Conciliation, and Mediation, Principles and Practice of Arbitration, and International Commercial Arbitration.

 

He was Registrar of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators. He is a life member of the governing council of ICMC. He also served as Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja branch and in several other positions within the profession. He was a member of the Executive committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigeria branch. He is also the Chairman ADR Group of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), and Chairman of the ADR Committee of the Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU). He sits on the governing council and the board of several for profit and non-profit organizations, including Pillar Microfinance Bank Limited and Layer3 Limited where he chairs the board of directors of both companies. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD). Agada loves to read and write. He is an avid lover of sports and a member of the IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja. He is happily married to Rosemary and they have 4 lovely children.

Barrister Uche Attoh
Facilitator-In-Chief

Barrister-at-Law, Faculty Member, Lagos Business School (LBS) and Ex-member, Industrial Arbitration Panel-IAP).

 

He is a graduate of the University of Lagos. Barrister Attoh worked as Human Resource Manager in May & Baker, Human Resources Director in Glaxo Smithkline and as Director of Industrial Relations at the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA) before moving to the Industrial Arbitration Panel (IAP).

 

He is most respected authority in Nigerian Labour Law, Conciliation and Arbitration, Negotiation and Employee Relations Issues wealth of practical experience. A legal practitioner of repute, Barrister Attoh has over 20 years of experience and he is married with children.

Jerry Tasker, PMP
International Desk and Coordinator

Jerry is a seasoned Project Management Professional possessing a unique blend of technology and management skills. Jerry has over 25 years of solid Information Technology experience providing solutions to companies of various sizes and industries. His experience spans private, governmental, and non-governmental organizations in Africa, Europe, and the United States.

 

Jerry began his professional career with Prudential Financials as a Budget Systems Coordinator and Expense Analyst. He later joined Pan American World Airways as an Expense Analyst and Applications Programmer. Jerry was offered a position with Delta Airlines when Delta acquired a portion of Pan American.

 

He has worked for several IT consulting firms providing Project Management, Package System Selection, System Implementation Services etc. to various clients, including the International Labour Organisation, World Health Organisation and World Meteorological Organisation. Jerry graduated from Kean University, Union, New Jersey, USA, with Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management Science.

 

He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, USA, concentrating in Management Information Systems. Jerry lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his family.

Dr. Monday Ashibogwu Michael

Monday holds a B.Sc (Sociology and Anthropology) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, M.Sc and Ph.D. from the University of Ibadan; He has over two decades of experience in the media, financial services, and consulting industry and has held strategic management positions at various levels.

 

As a trainer and consultant, plays a crucial role in setting sustainability standards, corporate strategy, and operational objectives for corporate organizations and public sector institutions’ including coaching/advisory; developing strategies; implementing campaigns; serving as gatekeeper for KPI; from managing crises to implementing activities and forging alliances to influencing public opinion on Policies.

 

He brings his wealth of experience to bear emerging businesses (MSMEs) through business development services, mentoring, and addressing public sector challenges. He is also a strategy and communications professional with robust multi-sector experience and in-depth corporate and marketing communications knowledge.

 

His work experience spans arts, culture, and features: writing as a journalist, public affairs and perception management, content development and marketing, communications and brand management, banking, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sectors development. He has worked as a research consultant on Retail markets in Nigeria for the UK Trade and Investment Department of the British High Commission. He is a faculty member at various consulting engagements with JOBA, Accolade Mediation, Global Analytics Consulting, BEEC, NASME, NIBF, PRCAN, IPC, NDD. His training engagements include the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), Facility for Oil Sector Transformation (FOSTER) a DFID oil and gas advocacy program among others With a background in human resources, research, journalism, and public relations,

 

Monday is a member of some professional bodies, which includes the International Sociological Association, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN). He has worked with several media houses, including the defunct New Age and Post Express Newspapers, National Mirror, Daily Independent, Leadership, and BusinessDay newspaper. Monday is happily married with children.
